Upgrading from 480i to 480p makes quite a noticeable difference if your tv can display the 480p resolution. The contributors here at Mii Space say go for this upgrade.

A cautionary note... some component cables are going for steep prices... I ended up with decent Matcatz ones for 24.99 instead of the 39.99 or 49.99 that some of them fetch.. be smart shoppers on these.
I just took a chance and ordered mine off ebay.
First purchase from Hong Kong (cheapest by far with shipping), cost a little less than $15 CDN.
But the seller has a good rating, so I don't expect there to be any problems.
Just got my hong kong cable.
It came faster than 4 other ebay auctions bought at roughly the same time.
No extra fees what-so-ever.
Awesome, I hope it works, but how can you mess up a cable.
